Transport Administrator
*About the Role*
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will manage daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are scheduled efficiently and run smoothly. You’ll communicate with external transport companies, customers, and internal teams to keep everything on track and resolve issues as they arise. If you enjoy working in a fast\-paced environment and have experience in transport planning, this is the perfect opportunity.
*Key Responsibilities.*
Liaise with warehouse to ensure goods are ready to despatch and picking lists are correct.
Use external transport portals to book transport via pallet networks. Manage delivery notes, transport documents, and compliance paperwork.
Obtain prices and arrange full load/larger deliveries with external transport providers.
Track and monitor delivery progress.
Deal with delays, route issues, and unexpected challenges.
Check all Import and Export documentation is correct to ensure customs clearance and deliveries are made in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of transport activities to support continuous improvement in efficiency and cost\-effectiveness
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role
Understanding of transport operations
Import/Export Knowledge
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Confident working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
Problem\-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficient with IT systems, Microsoft Excel, and transport software
Education \& Experience
1–3 years of experience in transport or courier coordination preferred
A qualification in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain is a plus
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
