Trainee Warehouse Packer

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trainee Warehouse packer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our small team with the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and The role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting and load/unload tasks, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and stock replenishment to meet daily operational demands


• Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods


• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order fulfilment


• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch


• Assist with stock organisation, storage optimisation, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment


• Load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment while adhering to health and safety regulationd

Skills

• Experience in warehousing environments is advantageous but not essential as training will be given.


• Understanding of materials handling techniques and safety procedure


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock movement or loading activities


• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and quality control checks


• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when necessary


• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks involving lifting or load/unload activities
