OverviewThermal Insulation Operative / Trainee Apprentice – Central Scotland
Central Insulation is looking to expand our team and is currently seeking experienced Thermal Insulation Operatives, as well as a Trainee/Apprentice who is keen to learn a skilled trade and build a career within the thermal insulation industry.
The work is primarily within the H\&V (Heating \& Ventilation) industry, carrying out thermal insulation works on commercial and industrial projects throughout Central Scotland, with opportunities for working away from home when required.
The Role – Experienced Operative
- Installing thermal insulation to heating, ventilation, pipework, ductwork and associated systems
- Working with a variety of insulation materials and finishes
- Completing work to a high standard and within project timescales
- Working on commercial and industrial sites
- Following all site health \& safety requirements
- Travelling to different sites across Central Scotland
- Working away from home when required
We are also keen to hear from someone looking to start a career in thermal insulation. Full training will be provided, and you will learn the trade from experienced members of our team while working on live commercial and industrial projects.
No previous insulation experience is required for the trainee position, but we are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Practical and hands\-on
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Keen to develop a long\-term career in the trade
- Willing to travel to different sites
- Willing to work away from home when required
- A full UK driving licence is essential for the role
- Previous thermal insulation / H\&V experience is preferred for experienced applicants
- Good attitude towards work and a strong work ethic
- Good understanding of health \& safety, or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work away when required
