About the Role

Novaminds is a UK\-based cloud solutions company specialising in AWS cloud services, FinOps and DevOps. We help organisations improve cloud performance, cost visibility and operational efficiency.

Novaminds is looking for a proactive, highly organised Technical Project Manager – DevOps with experience in cloud operations, FinOps and IT vendor management.

Working within our DevOps department, you will lead AWS cost optimisation initiatives, coordinate AWS account migrations and oversee the performance of our UK\-based AWS service provider. You will act as the main point of contact between the external vendor and our internal technical teams in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

This role combines technical project management with cloud financial governance and vendor accountability. You should be confident translating technical and commercial priorities into clear plans, coordinating delivery across time zones and communicating progress to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AWS cost optimisation projects across a multi\-account cloud environment, defining priorities and coordinating implementation.

  • Analyse AWS billing, Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) and usage patterns to identify idle resources, over\-provisioned infrastructure and unnecessary spending.

  • Work with technical leads and the external vendor to implement rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot Instances and architectural improvements.

  • Establish resource tagging, cost allocation, departmental chargeback models and automated budget anomaly alerts.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal technical teams and the UK\-based AWS service provider.

  • Monitor vendor performance, technical deliverables, service\-level agreements (SLAs) and incident resolution.

  • Establish effective workflows across UK, Hong Kong and Taiwan time zones.

  • Plan and coordinate end\-to\-end AWS account migrations, maintaining production continuity and targeting zero downtime.

  • Work with Product, Development, QA and Security teams to align infrastructure changes with product roadmaps and compliance requirements.

  • Prepare FinOps summaries, cost forecasts and project progress reports for the CTO and engineering leadership.

  • Travel periodically to Hong Kong and Taiwan for quarterly business reviews, technical workshops and vendor evaluations.
What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology or a related discipline.

  • 3–5\+ years of relevant experience in technical project management, cloud operations, FinOps or IT vendor management within a fast\-paced technology, gaming or e\-commerce environment.

  • A strong understanding of AWS services, cloud cost structures and DevOps practices.

  • A proven track record of reducing AWS expenditure using tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Cost Anomaly Detection and AWS Budgets.

  • Demonstrated experience managing third\-party IT contractors, managed service providers (MSPs) or overseas vendors.

  • A solid understanding of Agile, Scrum and project management methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, problem\-solving and negotiation skills, with a clear focus on cost efficiency and vendor accountability.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to coordinate technical and commercial priorities across teams.

  • The ability to work effectively across time zones and travel periodically to Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Desirable Experience
