Team Leader - Care

Location: Far Forest, Kidderminster (DY14 9EH)
Salary: Up to £14\.50 per hour
Hours: Full\-time or Part Time (including alternate weekends)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our care team.
You’ll work alongside the Management Team to lead a team of dedicated carers, ensuring excellent standards of care and smooth day\-to\-day operations within the home.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Management Team in the daily running of the home.


• Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring high standards of person\-centred care.


• Administer and record medication safely in line with policy.


• Support and mentor new staff, ensuring training and compliance needs are met.


• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, staff, and visitors at all times.


• Contribute to care planning, reviews, and assessments.


• Maintain accurate records and reports.


• Act as the senior person in charge in the absence of the Manager/Deputy.


• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and respect for all residents.

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health \& Social Care (or willing to work towards).


• Experience in a senior care role within the past 3 years.


• Strong leadership and communication skills.


• Confidence in managing medication and leading a care team.


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.

• Experience liaising with healthcare professionals.


• Basic IT skills for care documentation.
