Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in Ormskirk. This is a full-time temporary position starting immediately and running until Christmas, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or a confident ECT looking for their next role.
The successful Teacher of English will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned English lessons across the secondary age range, helping students to develop their literacy, reading and writing skills. You will join a supportive department and contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Role:
- Full-time Teacher of English position
- Immediate start until Christmas
- Teaching English across KS3 and/or KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
- Supporting students to make progress and achieve their potential
- Working collaboratively with the English department and wider school team
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Able to build positive relationships with students
- Available to start immediately
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
