Location: Ormskirk
Salary: Around £30,000 per annum, with flexibility depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Are you an experienced Payroll Officer or Payroll Administrator looking for your next opportunity?
Our client is recruiting a Payroll Officer to join its team in Ormskirk. You'll work alongside the Payroll Supervisor within a wider finance team, supporting monthly payroll for around 500 employees.
The Role:
This varied position involves processing employee changes, calculating payments and deductions, and supporting pension administration. You'll help ensure monthly payroll is completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new starters, leavers and amendments to employee payroll records.
- Calculate timesheet payments and overtime.
- Process statutory payments and deductions.
- Handle shadow payroll payments for overseas employees.
- Process company car and fuel deductions.
- Administer salary sacrifice arrangements.
- Support pension auto-enrolment and the group pension salary sacrifice scheme.
- Keep employee information accurate through the HR portal.
You'll have previous payroll experience, excellent attention to detail and the organisational skills to meet monthly deadlines. You'll be comfortable handling confidential information and working with colleagues to resolve payroll queries and maintain accurate records.
Salary & Benefits:
- Around £30,000, depending on experience.

Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.30pm, including a one-hour lunch break. Some flexibility around start and finish times may be possible.
