We are seeking an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, with experience in business sales and acquisitions, commercial contracts and general corporate matters.
Experience in commercial property would be a significant advantage, particularly in transactions involving the acquisition, disposal, leasing or transfer of commercial premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on the sale and purchase of businesses and companies.
- Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, heads of terms, confidentiality agreements and other relevant legal documentation.
- Advising on commercial contracts, corporate matters and general business transactions.
- Handling commercial property matters where required, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and property-related aspects of business sales.
- Managing a varied caseload independently, ensuring matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships by providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
- Identifying opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the department.
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of business sales and acquisitions, commercial contracts and corporate transactions.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently from instruction to completion.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- A client-focused approach, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commercial property experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
