Full job description

Job Title: Taxi Driver – Home to School Transport Driver \- Chaperone

THE MOST REWARDING PART TIME WORK IS AVAILABLE NOW THROUGHOUT ALL OF EAST SUSSEX. HEATHFIELD\-HAILSHAM\-POLEGATE\-EASTBOURNE

Salary: £400 \- £800 per month (route dependent)
Hours: Average Hours are 15 to 20 per week (varies by route)

If you have a DBS this will speed up the process. If not the chaperone takes four to eight weeks. A driver will take six to nine weeks

Your Role

As a valued member of our team, you’ll provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations

  • Building professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff

  • Following safety procedures and company guidelines at all times

  • Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days

What You Need
  • A valid UK driving licence (car category)

  • Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers and wheelchair\-accessible vehicles (training provided)

  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (criminal record check)

  • Completion of a Group 2 medical assessment to meet licensing standards

  • Right to work in the UK

This role involves driving and chaperone/PA children or conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability. The position therefore meets the definition of regulated activity under both child and adult workforce legislative wording and is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list checks.

Pay: £30\.00\-£60\.00 per day
