6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | £450 per day | Glasgow (1 day per month onsite)

The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Tableau Consultant to lead the design and delivery of reporting and analytics for a major digital transformation programme within a regulated environment.

You'll be responsible for building a scalable Tableau reporting layer across a complex data ecosystem that includes multiple Salesforce environments, Marketing Cloud, enterprise integrations and marketing analytics platforms. The data architecture is already in place; your role is to ensure the reporting layer is intuitive, trusted, high-performing and capable of supporting both operational and strategic decision-making.

This is a 6-month Outside IR35 contract, paying £450 per day, with occasional travel to Glasgow (approximately once per month).

Key ResponsibilitiesTableau Data & Semantic Layer Design • Design and implement enterprise-grade Tableau data models and certified data sources.

• Create a semantic layer that enables consistent reporting across multiple business functions.


• Define data refresh strategies, performance optimisation techniques and source governance standards.


• Ensure reporting structures are scalable, maintainable and trusted by end users.

Dashboard Development • Deliver a suite of Tableau dashboards covering: • Funnel and conversion performance

• Lead flow and operational KPIs


• SLA monitoring and business performance


• Compliance and regulatory reporting


• Marketing and campaign effectiveness


• Cost-to-outcome analysis

Data Modelling & SQL Analysis • Work with integrated, mastered datasets from multiple systems.

• Develop dimensional models that support self-service reporting.


• Use SQL to validate, interrogate and optimise data structures.


• Challenge data design where reporting requirements are not adequately supported.

Marketing Analytics Reporting • Integrate aggregated marketing data from sources such as: • GA4

• Paid media platforms


• Marketing campaign datasets


• Create reporting that measures campaign performance, acquisition effectiveness and conversion outcomes.


• Define standards for campaign tracking, source attribution and UTM governance.

Stakeholder Engagement • Facilitate workshops with business, operations, marketing and technical teams.

• Convert reporting requirements into actionable Tableau solutions.


• Provide guidance on KPI design, reporting best practices and data interpretation.

Governance & Handover • Establish Tableau governance standards including: • Certified data sources

• Row-level security


• Performance optimisation


• Documentation and version control


• Ensure a smooth knowledge transfer to internal teams at the end of the engagement.

Required ExperienceEssential • Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud/Server.

• Advanced Tableau development including: • LOD Expressions


• Complex calculations


• Performance optimisation


• Permissions and security models


• Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex enterprise data environments.


• Experience designing dimensional data models and reporting layers.


• Proven ability to gather requirements and deliver business-facing dashboards.


• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

Desirable • Experience working with: • Salesforce

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud


• Enterprise integration platforms


• Master Data Management (MDM) environments


• Knowledge of digital and marketing analytics.


• Previous experience within Financial Services, Insurance or other regulated sectors.

Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £450 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote with travel to Glasgow approximately once per month
Start: ASAP / Immediate Availability Preferred
