A leading international firm is seeking a talented Patent Litigation Solicitor to join its growing disputes practice. The firm works with a broad range of innovative businesses, from established global organisations to fast growth companies, advising on complex intellectual property matters where technology, innovation and commercial strategy intersect. Its international platform provides exposure to sophisticated, cross border matters and the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role

You will join an established Patent Litigation team, working on complex disputes for clients across a range of technology focused sectors. You will be involved in matters from an early stage, contributing to case strategy, evidence, client advice and the progression of litigation through to resolution.

The role will provide the opportunity to develop experience across both domestic and international patent disputes, with exposure to the Unified Patent Court and wider commercial IP matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and progression of High Court and UPC patent litigation matters


• Contribute to case strategy, legal research and preparation of evidence


• Advise clients on patent disputes, risks and potential routes to resolution


• Work closely with clients, technical experts and counsel throughout matters


• Support cross border disputes and wider patent focused commercial work, including licensing and technology transactions


• Take increasing responsibility for individual workstreams and client relationships

• Qualified Solicitor with ideally 0 to 3 years' PQE


• Experience in patent litigation or contentious intellectual property work


• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex technical issues


• Commercial approach with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


• Experience of SEP or FRAND matters would be advantageous


• STEM background would be beneficial but is not essential


• Proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a high performing team
