Core Aquatics is a multi award winning swim school, teaching children to swim in Nottingham High School (NG7\) and West Bridgford School (NG2\). We teach all ages and abilities and also support swimmers with other abilities through our Autism Swim Approved status and work with Autism Swim.

We specialise in small group tuition, one to one and two to one lessons for children 3 years old to, and including, adults. We also offer lessons to swimmers with other abilities, with many of our team engaging in supplementary training provided by the STA and Autism Swim.

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Swim Teacher to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and skill levels, fostering confidence, safety, and a love for water. Your passion for teaching will inspire swimmers to achieve their goals while ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons tailored to individual swimmer needs, abilities, and goals


• Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills with clarity and patience


• Use behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere


• Support swimmers with special needs or disabilities through inclusive teaching methods


• Develop lesson plans that promote skill progression and enjoyment


• Monitor swimmer progress and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement


• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including lifeguard responsibilities when applicable

Requirements

• Prior experience as a swim teacher (minimum 1 year)


• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to foster positive learning environments


• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and patience with learners of all ages


• Certification in Lifeguarding or equivalent is preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is a plus


• Safeguarding certificate

Hours Available in Nottingham \- our operating times are:

Nottingham High School

• Saturday \- 1330\-1800


• Sunday \- 1400\-1800

West Bridgford School

• Wednesday 1800\-1900


• Saturday \- 0800\-1000; 1645\-1845


• Sunday \- 15\.30\-19\.30
