Support Worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well\-being. This position requires a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.


• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour.


• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.


• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities when required.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.


• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well\-being.


• Support individuals with specific needs, including dementia care, senior care.

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.


• Skills in first aid and patient care are highly advantageous.


• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those in nursing homes or requiring specialised care, is beneficial.


• A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.


• A strong understanding of medication administration protocols is an asset.
