Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding role within a specialist respite service?

We are currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs within a busy and rewarding respite care setting. This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference by helping individuals enjoy short breaks in a safe, supportive, and person-centred environment.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.


• Provide personal care while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.


• Support individuals with daily living activities and routines.


• Assist service users to access social, recreational, and community-based activities.


• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.


• Support emotional wellbeing and encourage independence wherever possible.


• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation as required.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.


• Ensure safeguarding procedures and best practice standards are maintained at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or within a similar care setting.


• Personal care experience is essential.


• Moving and Handling experience is essential.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care.


• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, or complex needs would be highly beneficial and a distinct advantage.


• Experience working within a residential or respite care setting.


• Enhanced DBS certificate.
