Personal Assistant / Companion Role – 22\.5 Hours per Week

£13\.45 per hour

We are recruiting a Personal Assistant to support a highly independent, intelligent young man who is a wheelchair user.

Important: This is not a high personal care role. There is minimal personal care involved. The position is best described as a companion/support role, helping someone lead an active and social lifestyle.

He is a freelance sports journalist with a strong interest in football and MMA, and plays powerchair football regularly.

What the role involves:

• Accompanying him to football training and sporting activities


• Attending work appointments and meetings


• Going out for lunch, cinema trips, and days out


• General support to access the community and maintain independence

What the role does NOT involve:

• No heavy lifting


• No complex care needs


• Very minimal personal care

About you:

• Friendly, reliable, and easy\-going


• Comfortable in social and community settings


• Good communication skills


• An interest in sport is a bonus but not essential

Hours \& Pay:

• 22\.5 hours per week


• £13\.45 per hour
