Health Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support service users in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring the wellbeing of individuals, and supporting the delivery of personalised care plans. Duties

• Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Support individuals with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times


• Help implement and follow personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals


• Provide companionship and emotional support for service users


• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required


• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies


• Support with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and comfortable environment


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care are maintained

Requirements

• Previous experience providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for successful applicants


• Valid driving licence and access to a car is essential to facilitate transportation needs


• Good organisational skills to assist in following care plans accurately


• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes


• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
