The Role: Supply Chain Manager \& Quality Lead
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail\-focused Supply Chain Manager \& Quality Lead to join our team. This is a varied and hands\-on role, combining stock and supply chain management with responsibility for food safety, quality systems and production support. You’ll play an important role in making sure we have the right ingredients and packaging in stock, our systems and records are accurate, and our products are made safely and consistently to a high standard — while helping us continue to improve the way we operate as a sustainable and responsible business.
Key Responsibilities
As Supply Chain Manager \& Quality Lead, you will take ownership of our inventory management and food safety systems, while supporting the Operations Manager with production planning, purchasing and day\-to\-day operational requirements.
- Take responsibility for maintaining accurate stock records using Unleashed inventory management software.
- Monitor stock levels and manage minimum/reorder levels both within Unleashed and physically within the production environment.
- Track ingredients, packaging and other production materials from receipt through to use.
- Create and maintain chocolate production assemblies within Unleashed.
- Accurately log production batches and maintain full product traceability.
- Identify upcoming stock requirements and place orders in a timely manner to ensure production runs smoothly.
- Maintain accurate supplier information and records.
- Source new ingredients, packaging and other materials as required.
- Help identify opportunities to improve purchasing, stock control and supply chain efficiency.
- Take ownership of Quirky Chocolate’s Food Safety Management System.
- Maintain, review and continually improve our SALSA food safety and quality systems.
- Ensure relevant procedures, records and documentation are kept accurate and up to date.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality procedures across the business.
- Prepare the business for the annual SALSA audit and act as the key point of contact during the audit process.
- Follow up on any actions or improvements identified through audits, reviews or internal checks.
- Promote a strong culture of food safety, quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- Support the Operations Manager with production planning and scheduling.
- Assist with ingredient and packaging ordering to ensure production requirements are met.
- Support accurate and timely data input into Unleashed.
- Work closely with the production and operations team to resolve stock, supply or production issues.
- Assist with fulfilment and other production tasks when required.
- Be prepared to get hands\-on and support the wider team during busy periods.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment, is highly organised and detail\-oriented, and is excellent with data and ERP software systems.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing stock, data and systems.
- Excellent on Excel.
- Comfortable working with inventory or ERP software
- Experience with Unleashed would be an advantage.
- Experienced in food safety, quality assurance or food production environments.
- Familiar with SALSA or similar food safety certification systems an advantage.
- Analytical and confident working with records, data and documentation.
- Proactive, practical and able to spot problems before they become issues.
- A strong communicator who can work effectively across different areas of the business.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of their responsibilities.
- Flexible and willing to get involved wherever needed in a small, busy production environment.
Experience in a food manufacturing, food production, supply chain, quality or operations environment would be highly beneficial.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised, commercially aware and takes pride in getting things right. You’ll need to be comfortable balancing the detail of food safety and stock control with the practical realities of a busy production environment.

Pay: £29,500\.00\-£31,500\.00 per year
