The Role.
GMC are currently seeking a Stores \& Yard Administrator to join our team in Dublin.
This role will support the efficient day\-to\-day administration and coordination of our stores and yard operations, ensuring materials, equipment, vehicles and stock are accurately recorded, controlled and readily available to operational teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of stock, materials, tools, plant and equipment.
- Process goods received notes, delivery dockets and stock movements.
- Record the issue and return of materials, tools and equipment to employees and project teams.
- Assist with regular stock checks and inventory reconciliations.
- Liaise with procurement and suppliers regarding deliveries, collections and outstanding orders.
- Support the organisation and housekeeping of the yard and stores areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems, both electronic and paper based.
- Assist with the preparation of reports relating to stock, materials, equipment and yard activities.
- Report damaged, missing or defective materials and equipment to the appropriate manager.
- Carry out other reasonable administrative and operational duties as required.
- Previous experience in a similar role for a construction stores/yard, building providers or within utilities, construction, civil engineering etc.
- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience maintaining stock or asset records is desirable.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- A practical, hands\-on approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
