About the role
We're looking for an experienced Stairlift Engineer to join our team, with the work mainly focused on servicing and repair. You'll be out on the road visiting customers in their homes, keeping their stairlifts running safely and reliably, and diagnosing and fixing faults on the spot wherever possible. This is a customer\-facing role, so as well as strong technical ability we're looking for someone professional, tidy and reassuring in people's homes.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out routine servicing and safety checks on stairlifts
- Diagnosing and repairing faults, both mechanical and electrical
- Responding to breakdown call\-outs and resolving issues efficiently
- Explaining faults, repairs and maintenance clearly to customers
- Keeping accurate service records and job reports
- Managing your own daily schedule and route
- Previous experience servicing and repairing stairlifts or lifts (essential)
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
- A full, valid, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment
- A reliable, professional and customer\-focused approach
