Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead and inspire our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster a positive, engaging atmosphere that promotes learning and development. Your leadership will drive the success of the nursery, ensuring high standards of childcare and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure excellent childcare delivery


• Work alongside a well established office team including the nursery SENDCO, admin assistant and director


• Oversee daily operations, including planning activities, managing schedules, and maintaining a safe environment for children


• Work with the room leaders to develop and implement age\-appropriate cirriculums that promote early childhood development


• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation


• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong relationships


• Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, procurement of supplies, and maintaining operational standards


• Conduct regular staff training sessions and meetings to uphold high\-quality childcare practices and continuous professional development


• Update and maintain documentation such as policies and procedures and risk assessments drawing upon our employed services from HR to NDNA

Experience

• Proven management experience in a childcare or nursery setting with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles


• Extensive experience working directly with children in a childcare or preschool environment


• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of childcare professionals


• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and regulatory bodies


• Valid childcare qualifications or certifications relevant to nursery management


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to early childhood settings


• A valid driving license is beneficial for attending training, meetings and collecting supplies where needed\- but not essential

You will work alongside the current nursery manager until November and then assume the manager position being supported by her until December to ensure a smooth handover and ensure you are equipped with all the knowledge of the setting.

Pay: £15\.00\-£15\.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42\.5 per week
