Accountabilities:

  • Lead incident response and detection activities, ensuring rapid identification, containment, and resolution of security threats across cloud and platform environments.

  • Design, architect, and continuously evolve the SecOps platform to improve resilience, observability, and threat mitigation capabilities.

  • Conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunting and operationalize threat intelligence to proactively identify vulnerabilities and emerging risks.

  • Evaluate and guide cloud infrastructure security strategy, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational requirements.

  • Develop, promote, and embed security best practices across software engineering teams, including automation of secure development processes.

  • Strengthen infrastructure security through the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and secure-by-design principles.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and platform teams to ensure secure system design across all stages of development and deployment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years of experience across DevOps, SecOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including at least 4 years with a dedicated focus on SecOps.

  • Strong offensive security background, such as red teaming, penetration testing, or purple teaming experience.

  • Deep expertise in cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and network security principles.

  • Solid Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience in production environments.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation and tooling.

  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex systems and security risks.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to drive security awareness across engineering teams.

  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to manage priorities independently in fast-paced environments.
