The Role
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Sales Manager to join our Marketing Solutions department, owning and growing a portfolio of enterprise life science accounts. You will drive full-cycle sales—from strategic outbound prospecting to close—selling high-value digital advertising solutions and custom media campaigns directly to life science marketers and their media agencies.
This is a consultative, multi-stakeholder digital media sale with true deal ownership and a clear sense of purpose. You won't just pitch and pass; you will architect partnerships that connect pioneering life science brands with the global scientific community.
The Team
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will join a high-performing, international, and collaborative commercial team focused on connecting researchers with tools and solutions that accelerate scientific progress.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Drive Ad Revenue: Close net-new and expansion digital advertising business across a dedicated portfolio of pharma, biotech, and scientific brands.
- Consultative Media Selling: Run structured, deeply analytical discovery sessions to understand brand objectives and build tailored, insight-led digital media and content strategy proposals.
- Navigate Marketer Ecosystems: Confidently pitch to and steer deals through complex brand teams, digital marketing leads, agency partners, and procurement.
- Strategic Account Planning: Build and execute long-term account roadmaps to scale our share of wallet and maximize ad spend within key organizations.
- Collaborate for Campaign Success: Partner closely with Account Management and Ad Ops to ensure ad campaigns perform flawlessly against client KPIs, securing renewals and long-term retention.
- Consistently hitting and exceeding your quarterly advertising revenue quota.
- Growing key enterprise accounts year-over-year through strategic digital media upselling.
- Delivering high-ROI ad campaigns that naturally convert into predictable, repeat business.
- The Track Record: 5+ years of closing experience in B2B digital advertising, ad-tech, digital media sales, or publisher solutions.
- Marketer Fluency: Deep understanding of digital advertising metrics (CPM, CTR, lead generation, brand awareness) and how life science marketers allocate budgets.
- Industry Context: Experience selling into pharma, biotech, or life sciences—or managing these verticals from an ad agency perspective—is a strong plus.
- Pipeline Ownership: A proactive hunter mindset. You are comfortable prospecting, mapping out marketing departments, and building your own pipeline without relying on inbound leads.
- Commercial Polish: Strong commercial instinct. You know how to qualify rigorously, multi-thread within complex marketing organizations, and close high-value ad contracts
