The role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within our Older People and Stroke Services at the Day Hospital in Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The role focuses on delivering highquality, personcentred care to older adults and supporting a multidisciplinary outpatient service.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • Full\-time, Permanent

  • Base location: Inverclyde Royal Hospital

  • Shift Pattern \- Monday Friday
Key responsibilities:
  • Independent and team\-based care Delivering high standards of care for a defined patient group.

  • Technical and physical care delivery Performing technical, invasive, and physical aspects of nursing safely and competently.

  • Assessment and care planning Assessing care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating personalised care plans.

  • Clinical leadership Leading on patient assessment and ensuring care is evidencebased.

  • Multidisciplinary collaboration Working closely with frailty practitioners, AHP Consultants, and other professionals to support effective outpatient care.

  • Role modelling Acting as a positive example for colleagues and student nurses.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • Registered Nurses on the NMC Register

  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills

  • Good IT knowledge and skills

  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a range of clinical procedures and practices

  • Knowledge of hospital policies/procedures and practices specific to the working environment

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to use initiative

  • Previous medical experience desirable.

  • Opportunity to develop skills across specialist areas, including:
+ Stroke rehabilitation

+ Movement disorders
+ General medical care for older adults
