To support our specialist respiratory ward during the busy winter period, we are recruiting for Band 5 nurses on a six month fixed term contract. We are looking for enthusiastic nurses who are keen to work at the leading edge of medical practice in a fast\-paced ward setting. You will need to be a highly motivated nurse who is committed to delivering high standards of care and can demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills. Our friendly and supportive Chestnut team welcome applications from new graduates seeking their first role as well as experienced nurses looking for a new or different opportunity.

You will be supported with a full induction programme (and preceptorship if you are a new graduate or new to the NHS), continuous professional development, and the ability to develop your career.

To work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team nursing and individualised patient care. In collaboration with the department’s integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients.

To contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment, and to supervise junior registered and non\-registered staff.

Managing chronic illness with respiratory diseases, we looking for experienced staff who can handle patients with NIV machine, CPAP, High flow oxygen \& Chest drains. We also handle patients under going therapeutic treatment related with lung diseases such as COPD, TB, Asthma, Pulmonary fibrosis, T2RF and T1RF, lung cancer ( managing End of life patients)

Working as a Registered Nurse within the hospital setting.

Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, working alongside the multidisciplinary team, incorporating:

  • Delivering high quality direct patient care

  • Following patient admission/transfer/discharge processes

  • Maintaining a safe environment

  • Medication administration

  • Care planning, implementation and evaluation

  • Communicate effectively with the multi\-disciplinary team, patients, families and their carers

  • Maintain best practice, ensuring compliance with evidence\-based practice and research

  • Accountable to nurse in charge of each shift and supporting junior colleagues

  • Maintain skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and the Trusts policies and procedures
