Specialist Nurse - Haematology
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dynamic and supportive teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high\-quality, patient\-centred care to individuals living with a wide range of haematological conditions, including both malignant and non\-malignant disorders.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will act as an expert practitioner, providing specialist clinical advice, education, and holistic support to patients and their families throughout their care journey. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across services, helping to drive excellence in care, enhance patient experience, and contribute to the continuous development of haematology services.
What We’re Looking For
Registered Nurse (NMC) with significant post\-registration experience
Substantial experience in haematology (essential)
Evidence of leadership and advanced clinical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in patient education and service improvement
Non\-medical prescribing qualification (desirable)
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (or working towards)
A development post at Band 6 may be considered for the right applicant.
Provide expert clinical care and support for patients with haematological conditions.
Act as a key worker for a defined patient group
Deliver nurse\-led clinics where appropriate
Support patients through diagnosis, treatment, and follow\-up
Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
Deliver patient education and promote self\-management
Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Provide teaching and support to junior staff and students
Work closely with consultants and the wider MDT
