Solar PV Installations Manager / Technical Person
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Installations Manager / Technical Person to oversee installation projects and provide technical expertise across various operational domains. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management tools and systems. This role offers an opportunity to lead complex projects, manage cross\-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of installation services in a fast\-paced environment.
Must have a Level 3 Diploma or NVQ in Electrotechnical Installation, such as City and Guilds 2357 or 2365\.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations Level 3 ( BS 7671:2018\)
A Level 3 award in Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar PV Systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise installation teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and safely.
- Gather and analyse requirements for installation projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and organisational standards.
- utilise project management software such as Monday.com, Open Solar, and PV Sol to plan, schedule, and monitor progress.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve technical issues promptly and prevent recurrence.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and optimise resource utilisation to maximise efficiency.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and project execution.
- Liaise with the various Merchants we partner with.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation using tools like Powerpoint.
- Implement best practices in Health and Safety.
- Oversee content management systems for documentation control and knowledge sharing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product development and service delivery processes.
- Proven supervising experience in technical or installation environments with strong team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software including Monday.com, Open Solar, PV Sol and similar tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Experience with requirements gathering and root cause analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools like SAS or Smartsheet for reporting purposes.
- Ability to lead product development initiatives and manage content within content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence.
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies including Safe Contractor or other frameworks.
- A Clean Driving Licence
