*Tate Oil is one of the largest independent oil distributors left in Yorkshire.*
We deliver to houses which require Kerosene / HVO and Gas Oil for their heating. We also deliver various products to commercial premises as well as Gas Oil to Farmers and permitted users.
We have a number of out bases delivering fuel across the heart of England.
What you’ll be doing
As Transport Support, your role will be split into two parts
Saturday and Sunday you will be the support for our weekend drivers, helping them with customer issues such as access issues. Coordination support from maintenance providers as well as adding and removing work to the drivers POD system. Along with the running of the transport yard which is open to the public Mon\-Sat for purchasing fuel. Till work, handling cash/card/accounts customer transactions.
Mondays and Tuesdays you will be in the office operating the till and working with our transport Administrative Assistant arranging and keeping all the paperwork in order from a busy transport office
Your responsibilities will include:
Filling paperwork – Drivers’ paperwork and fill up receipts
Organising defect reporting onto planned maintenance
Organising and replenishing stocks of items for drivers – Paperwork and PPE
Ordering of items for the yard – Ad\-Blue, Additives, Lubricants, PPE
This is a varying role and the aim is to build upon knowledge of the job, vehicles and drivers to become an integral support member of the team to then take on further responsibilities
Shift Pattern
4 fixed days Saturday to Tuesday
· Sat \= 8am – 5\.30pm. (In the Otley office 8am – 12pm then 12:00 – 17:30 home based
· Sun \= 8am – 5\.50pm – home based \= 9 hours.
· Monday \= 6am – 5\.30pm in the Otley office \= 11 hours
· Tuesday \= 6am – 5\.30pm in the Otley office \= 11 hours.
· Mon / Tuesday – Assisting Transport Admin Role / till plus other admin duties.
· Total \= 40 hours.

What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience working within a busy transport or logistics environment
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Good PC skills including Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- A track record of working with HGV’s and an understanding of the issues they have
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem\-solving
