We have an exciting opportunity for a Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our team based at the Wharfedale Urgent Treatment Centre, working Variable hours across a 7 day rota. This is a pivotal clinical role within our urgent treatment centre.
What the Role Offers
This role provides the opportunity to work autonomously as an independent healthcare practitioner within a minor injuries unit. Delivering a high quality of care across a range of agreed age groups and presenting conditions.
You will utilise your advanced clinical skills undertaking patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, onwards referrals where appropriate and safe discharge. Managing both minor illnesses and undifferentiated injuries.
You will also contribute to creating a positive working environment for staff, ensuring that all available resources are used effectively to meet key performance indicators and maintain CQC standards.
Pay Rates
Rates vary depending on the time of day worked:
- In Hours: £22\.19 up to £24\.03 per hour depending on experience
- Out of Hours: £28\.85 up to £31\.24 per hour depending on experience

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently undertake assessment, diagnosis, treatment/referral and safe discharge of patients with minor illness and undifferentiated minor injuries
- Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide professional and clinical advice within the multi\-disciplinary team
- Demonstrate evidence\-based care, working within agreed guidelines and protocols
- Actively promote collaborative working with other healthcare professionals within LCD and with external organisations
- Support ongoing professional development through training, clinical supervision, and participation in teaching, mentoring, and revalidation activities, ensuring adherence to professional standards and organisational governance.
- Ensuring quality of patient care remains at the centre of your clinical decision‑making on every shift
About You
We are looking for a confident, experienced clinician who can make effective decisions in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
You will have:
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and decision‑making abilities
- Experience of working independently in a range of healthcare settings
- A clear understanding of patient safety, quality standards and CQC compliance
- A values‑led approach aligned to kindness, respect, fairness, honesty and integrity
