Software / Web Developer
About the Role
We are looking for a talented Software / Web Developer to join our growing digital development team at Mpirical. In this role, you will help to develop and maintain our portfolio of digital learning and analytics platforms, including the Mpirical Learning Portal, NetX, NetXplore, NetXpert and NetXLabs, as well as our website. You will work closely with product, sales, and customer teams to deliver new features, improve existing systems, and help shape the future direction of our digital products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys working across the full web stack, contributing ideas to product development, and building tools used by telecoms professionals around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Promote agile methodologies and maintain high\-quality coding standards.
- Provide technical and commercial insight to help align development activity with business priorities.
- Guide colleagues on delivery feasibility, technical approaches, and product lifecycle decisions.
- Develop new features and functionality across our digital product portfolio.
- Maintain and improve existing applications, including bug fixes, testing, and performance optimisation.
- Write clean, scalable, and well\-documented code following modern development practices.
- Participate in release planning, deployment processes, and testing activities.
- Contribute to product development discussions and help shape future platform capabilities.
- Support the design and development of new tools and features.
- Provide input into product roadmaps and technical feasibility.
- Work closely with internal teams including product, sales, and customer success.
- Support customer\-facing discussions by providing technical insight and feasibility assessments.
- Assist colleagues with problem\-solving and technical guidance for digital solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and development workflows.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development tools.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of Mpirical’s digital content and resources.
- Commercial experience developing with PHP.
- Frontend web development experience including JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Experience with MySQL database design and development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working with 3D libraries such as Three.js.
- Experience developing with Moodle.
- Experience with HubSpot CMS (HubL) development.
- Experience with AI\-assisted development tools.
- Knowledge of Linux server management and web hosting environments.
- A proactive developer who enjoys contributing ideas and improving products.
