Soft Estates Operative Level 3 -M25
About the role
An exciting opportunity to be part of a new soft estate’s maintenance team. Supervise the efficient delivery on the M25 DBFO Network a wide range of soft estates works, hazard clearance, network maintenance and other tasks as required by Line Manager.
What you'll be doing
- Soft estates maintenance – grass cutting, heavy vegetation clearance, arboriculture works, ditch clearance, weed spraying and other associated grounds maintenance tasks.
- Sign maintenance/clearance.
- People management to include annual leave, performance, conduct in line with relevant policies and absence.
- Ensure a relentless focus on Making Safety Personal.
- Provide accurate and legible written and verbal communication in the form of reports and records as required.
- Use mobile communication/data devices to accurately input data for record purposes to form reports and business records as required.
- Undertake routine vehicle checks and maintain accurate and up to date driving records in line with legislation in accordance with CPS procedures and legislation.
- Taking due care of any CPS property including but not limited to tablets, vehicles and radios.
- Raise awareness of issues which may affect the safe operation of the network and report these as observed.
- Participate in Winter Service rota as required.
- Attend training courses as required.
- Live the Balfour Beatty Values.
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
- Support the delivery of CPSUK’s Sustainability activities.
Qualifications (Essential):
- UK Driving Licence, minimum category C (LGV Class 1\)
- Driver Qualification Card / CPC Up to date / In Date Digi Card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- CSCS Supervisors Card
- Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance or equivalent
- Register Of Land\-based Operations (ROLO) supervisor level
- Sector Scheme 18 – relevant elements
- PA 1 (weed treatment)
- 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (IPV) – Live \& Non\-Live Lane
- PPI
- First Aid (3 DAY)
- EUSR
- NRSWA Supervisor \& Operative
- Banksman / Manual Handling
