JOB SUMMARY
The Role: Production Operative
Lesters, the large packaging specialists, manufacture corrugated cardboard into boxes and cartons, die\-cutting, slotting, glueing and stitching using automated inline processes. We are looking for a Production Operative to join our night crew to facilitate further growth.
Key Duties
- Set machinery, feed and run materials and stack pallets
- Monitor jobs to maintain high\-quality standards
- Work efficiently to achieve budgeted targets of production uptime
- Operate the SFDU
- Resolve or report basic running issues quickly and proactively.
- Communicate any issues or improvements to your Team Leader so we can continuously improve efficiency and quality.
- Safely undertake manual handling of materials and equipment, storing stereos and tools in the correct location
- Proactively and appropriately and dispose of waste materials to maintain excellent levels of housekeeping
- Complete basic preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules i.e. cleaning, greasing,
- Any other duties that are within your capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have sufficient experience of working within a production environment operating and setting. Previous experience of working within the cardboard industry is desirable.

- Industry leading wage rates based on experience plus plus shift allowance per night worked and quarterly bonus scheme. Annual earning potential of £40,000 per year including nightshift allowance depending on experience,
- Working hours will be Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 6am
- Workplace pension scheme.
