JOB SUMMARY

The Role: Forklift Truck Driver

Lesters, the large packaging specialists, are looking for a Forklift Truck driver to join our warehousing team.

This is a busy FLT role with a constant flow of deliveries in and out of the warehouse throughout the day.

Applicants must have a valid Forklift Truck License issued by a UK accrediting body.

Key Duties

• Load and unload deliveries according to the booking sheets ensuring you maximise the best use of space on the vehicle whilst adhering to allocated booking slots for inward deliveries.


• Move and stack materials expertly utilising truck and/or warehousing space


• Keep production lines supplied with board as needed


• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear


• Spot lorries and allocate stock as needed


• Work in a safe and efficient manner adhering to traffic management procedures and speed limits on site at all times.


• General housekeeping duties in the production area and duties as assigned


• Any other duties that are within your capabilities

The ideal candidate will have sufficient experience of driving a counterbalance FLT, day in and day out, as their main role in a warehouse or production facility. Previous experience of working within the cardboard industry is desirable but not essential.

• Competitive rate of pay \- starting at £14\.29 but advanced rates available for skill and experience


• Weekly pay and structured pay grades with quarterly and bonus and overtime rates available
