General Manager - Padel + Play Burntwood

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of our club operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing sport.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations across all club facilities (courts, cafe, retail, equipment hire)


• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service standards


• Manage court bookings, scheduling and facility maintenance coordination


• Maintain health and safety protocols


• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally

• Recruit, train and manage the team


• Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours


• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews and training sessions


• Foster a positive, customer\-focused team culture


• Manage payroll, holiday requests and HR administration

• Drive membership sales and retention strategies


• Develop and implement marketing initiatives


• Build relationships with local sports clubs, schools and corporate clients


• Organise tournaments, social events and coaching programs


• Monitor competitor activity and market trends

• Ensure courts and facilities are maintained to the highest standards


• Oversee cafe operations including stock management and food safety compliance


• Manage retail inventory and supplier relationships

• Prior management experience in sports, leisure or hospitality industry


• Proven track record of team leadership and staff development


• Strong customer service background


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

• Experience in racquet sports facilities or sports club management


• Knowledge of padel or other racquet sports


• First aid certification


• Marketing and social media management experience


• Coaching qualifications (any sport)
