6am to 12pm Mon\-Thurs, times and days will vary to help facilitate operations

We are a fast\-paced contract packing and manufacturing business providing high\-quality production, packing, and fulfilment services to customers across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and hands\-on Multi\-Skilled Maintenance Manager to support the smooth operation of our production and warehouse facilities.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, facilities, and site services to ensure minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations. This is a practical, hands\-on role suited to an experienced engineer or maintenance professional who can work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and packing machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Maintain conveyors, packing lines, production equipment, compressors, and general factory machinery
- Ensure building maintenance is completed, including lighting, plumbing, heating, and general repairs
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required
- Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, and compliance documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment
- Manage stock levels of essential maintenance parts and consumables
- Assist with management of operations as required.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing, packing, food production, or industrial environments
- Multi\-skilled with both mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Experience of raw water treatment and distribution
- Strong fault\-finding and problem\-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Good understanding of health \& safety requirements within a factory environment
- Experience with conveyors, automated packing machinery, and production lines preferred
- Basic welding, fabrication, plumbing, or carpentry skills advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience in cultural change
- Experience in staff development
- Experience in people management
- Experience in operational management
- Good knowledge of local contractor availability
- Time served, minimum 10 year in UK manufacturing roles
- Relevant engineering or maintenance qualification preferred
- Electrical qualifications advantageous (e.g. 17th/18th Edition)
- Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
- Must have right to work in the UK
