Sales Assistant

Job Summary:

Due to ongoing expansion at Mainline Optical Connections our friendly, energetic sales team is expanding, and we are searching for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join us.

You will play a vital part in engaging with customers over the phone, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position is perfect for someone who is highly organised, natural at building relationships, and eager to grow along with our company.

Responsibilities:

· Take incoming calls, assist customers in selecting and purchasing products.

· Process sales orders through Sage 200

· Keep customers records updated in the company’s database as required

· Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns

· Outgoing sales calls to generate sales

· Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and goals

· Stay up\-to\-date with product knowledge and promotions

Full time hours : Mon \- Fri 8\.30am \- 5pm

About you:

· Previous Customer Service Experience

· Confident Telephone manner

· Comfortable navigating Windows desktop environments, including Microsoft Packages

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Ability to manage workload independently.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work well in a team environment

· Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and sales totals (retail math)

Desirable but not essential:

· Optical experience

· Experience with Sage Sicon CRM system.

· Experience in an Office Role

· Experience with outbound sales (full training will be provided)
