Site Cleaner
Overview
Fort Vale Engineering Ltd, based in Simonstone are the World Leader in the design and manufacture of valves and fittings for the transportation of bulk liquids in the tank container, road tanker and rail industries. We are currently looking for a Site Cleaner to join the team in our state\-of\-the\-art manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are tidy. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively.
The Role: Site Cleaner
- Permanent and full time (38 hours per week)
- Predominantly working on the day shift (Mon to Thurs 07:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. and Friday 07:30 a.m. to 12:30 dinner)
- General cleaning of all areas within Fort Vale
- Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines, brush, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving instruction and training)
- Reporting areas of concern for any maintenance requirements to the manager
- Emptying waste bins and transporting waste materials to designated collection points
- Cleaning male and female toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, showers and drinking areas
- A methodical approach to work and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work
- Is conscientious, has a strong work ethic and a good ability to seek out tasks as well as work under direct supervision
- Good verbal communication and listening skills
- While no formal qualification is required, the site cleaner must have experience in a domestic or industrial environment
- This is a manual job, and it is important to have the physical stability and skills to do the job
- Ability to maintain the premises to a high standard of cleanliness
