Salary: £32,000 \- £37,000 per year
Working Hours: 37\.5 per week
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands\-on Shop Manager who enjoys working in retail and leading a team in a fast\-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, supporting your team, and ensuring customers receive excellent service at all times.
You will play an important role in driving sales performance, maintaining strong operational standards, and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
*1\. Customer \& Commercial Focus*
- Drive sales performance and support the store in achieving commercial targets
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high service standards at all times
- Promote products and support upselling initiatives to increase sales
- Maintain strong product knowledge to assist both customers and team members
- Ensure the store is consistently well\-presented and aligned with brand standards
- Lead, support, and guide team members during daily operations
- Support onboarding and training of new staff
- Encourage a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment
- Work alongside the team where needed to ensure smooth store operations
- Oversee daily store operations including till use, cash handling, and reporting
- Ensure the store is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times
- Monitor stock levels and support ordering and replenishment
- Minimise waste and reduce stock loss through effective control measures
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health \& safety, and company procedures
- Plan and coordinate staff shifts to meet operational needs
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast\-paced retail environment
- Support the management of online platforms, including social media and website updates
- Promote new products and store offers through digital channels when required
- Help maintain a strong local presence and customer engagement online
- Previous experience in retail or a supervisory role is preferred but not essential
- Must have excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers
- Must have a good basic level of mathematics to accurately handle payments and cashing up
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Highly attentive to detail with a hands\-on approach to work
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced retail environment
- Flexible with working hours and available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
