Working Pattern: Monday\-Friday covering 6am\-6PM. Over time maybe available once fully trained.

Location: Scotland, our unit is based in Coatbridge North Lanarkshire so you must be able to travel here daily.

Positions available: 1 Full Time

Our Company

We are a small, family run company established in 2010\. As one of Scotland’s top performing Service Centres we are contracted to a major fitness manufacturer. We service and repair fitness equipment in popular gyms across Scotland. E.g., Pure Gym, Gym Group, JD Gyms, and occasionally residential properties. We pride ourselves in the service we provide, and we are now looking to expand our team of dedicated engineers.

Your Role

As our Service and repair Engineer, we will provide you with full training to service and repair fitness equipment to maintain its quality, reliability, and safety. You will start your shift in Coatbridge or from home. You will be travelling to various gyms, hotels, schools, and private homes across Scotland daily so you must be comfortable with driving various distances to cover work. We cover the whole of Scotland e.g Inverness, Aberdeen, central belt, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dumfries and the borders.

You will be the point of contact at each site you attend and be expected to deliver a first\-class service, this is a customer facing role. You will be required to offer repair resolutions for all reported product faults, as well as preventative maintenance of fitness equipment. This is a hands\-on role which can involve lifting and moving heavy equipment. You will be required to deliver safe, timely and quality repairs, resolving logistical and technical issues that may arise.

Main Duties

The service and repair engineer will diagnose faults and assist in the installation of fitness equipment. This includes:

Assisting in the service of fitness equipment. This includes stripping and

cleaning the equipment and replacing components where necessary.

Assisting in the installation of fitness equipment, including unboxing,

assembling, and moving equipment onto site. The engineer powers up and

tests equipment (product training is provided).

Diagnosing faults on equipment, using technical knowledge, tests, and

guidance provided through training and manuals. This may include

investigating error codes, identifying component failures and defects, and

determining appropriate repair actions.

Repairing fitness equipment, including stripping and cleaning the equipment

and replacing components where necessary.

Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date paperwork and digital logs, ensuring

submissions are completed on time and provided to the relevant person.

Keeping the staff area, office, van, and any facilities used clean and tidy at all

times.

Completing clerical tasks as required, including scheduling and closing jobs,

scheduling services, and sending/responding to emails and messages.

Opening and closing the unit.

Receiving stock, checking delivery notes, reporting discrepancies, storing stock

correctly, and performing stock checks.

Carrying out any other duty that is a reasonable request by management

Desirable Criteria

· Engineering/maintenance/repair experience

· Current First Aid and Manual Handling Certificate

· Knowledge of gym equipment
