Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced construction professional to become the technical backbone over the surveying, materials procurement and installation of projects.
We’re not looking for a standard surveyor. We work at a fast pace, managing multiple projects consecutively, typically delivered within 3 weeks from survey to completion.
We’re looking for someone who can accurately survey, technically plan and successfully project manage our construction projects from start to finish.
The Role
You will take complete ownership of a range of projects from the initial site survey through to successful completion.
You’ll ensure every project is correctly surveyed, fully planned, accurately ordered and professionally delivered.
You’ll work closely with our office team, installation teams, suppliers and customers to ensure projects run smoothly from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Surveys
Carry out detailed surveys for:
\* SIP Extensions
\* Steel Modular Buildings
\* Garden Rooms
\* Conservatory Roof Replacements
\* Conservatory Rebuilds
\* Windows \& Doors
\* Structural Alterations
\* Foundations
\* Steelwork
\* Drainage considerations
\* Building Regulations compliance
Technical Planning
\* Produce accurate working drawings where required
\* Detail all materials requirements accurately
\* Produce material delivery schedules
\* Procure all materials within budget
\* Plan labour requirements
\* Prepare installation packs for fitting teams
\* Identify and resolve technical challenges before work begins
\* Liaise with architects and structural engineers where necessary
\* Ensure projects comply with Building Regulations when required
Project Management
\* Manage projects from survey through to completion
\* Visit customers sites to ensure on time completion
\* Support and direct installation teams
\* Solve technical issues on and off site
\* Organise deliveries and materials
\* Coordinate subcontractors where required
\* Keep projects on programme
\* Maintain excellent communication with the Company and customers throughout the project.
Leadership
\* Support and mentor surveying and fitting teams
\* Carry out quality inspections
\* Improve project processes
\* Assist in training surveyors, installation teams and the project coordination.
\* Work closely with the General Manager and Operations Team
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with genuine construction knowledge who enjoys taking ownership of projects.
Ideally you’ll have experience in several of the following within a home improvement environment:

✔ Joinery
✔ Steel Installations
✔ Building Regulations
✔ CAD or Technical Drawings
✔ Surveying
✔ Construction Project Management
Essential Skills
\* Excellent construction knowledge within a home improvement environment.
\* Strong technical problem\-solving ability
\* Excellent organisation and planning
\* High attention to detail
\* Ability to read technical drawings
\* Ability to produce technical drawings (preferred)
\* Outstanding communication skills
\* Experience managing multiple live projects
\* Ability to confidently direct installation teams
\* Excellent customer service
\* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
\* AutoCAD
\* SketchUp
\* Revit
\* HNC/HND in Construction
\* Building Surveying

\* SMSTS or SSSTS
This Role Is Not Suitable For
This role is unlikely to suit someone whose experience is limited to:
\* Basic window and door surveying
\* Kitchen measuring
\* Retail surveying
\* Conservatory measuring only
