Senior Support Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team within a day service environment for adults with Learning disabilities, Physical disabilities, and Autism. The Senior Support Worker will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, supervising support staff, and ensuring that personalised care plans are effectively implemented.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise support staff to deliver exceptional care services.


• Assist with the development, review, and implementation of personalised care plans


• Provide direct support to residents, promoting independence and wellbeing


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or incidents promptly


• Facilitate effective communication between service users, families, and carers.


• Weekly organisation of activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation


• Supervise and mentor staff members to foster professional development

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care environment


• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with service users, families, and colleagues


• Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them accurately


• Valid driving licence is desirable


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting adults’ wellbeing

Pay: £15\.50 per hour
