Senior Support Worker
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team within a day service environment for adults with Learning disabilities, Physical disabilities, and Autism. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting our service users.This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults by providing high\-quality care and supervision. The Senior Support Worker will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, supervising support staff, and ensuring that personalised care plans are effectively implemented.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise support staff to deliver exceptional care services.
- Assist with the development, review, and implementation of personalised care plans
- Provide direct support to residents, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or incidents promptly
- Facilitate effective communication between service users, families, and carers.
- Weekly organisation of activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
- Supervise and mentor staff members to foster professional development
- Previous experience working in a care environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with service users, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them accurately
- Valid driving licence is desirable
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting adults’ wellbeing
Pay: £15\.50 per hour
