Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise\-level applications utilizing.NET framework, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.


• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between distributed systems.


• Develop front\-end components using Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to create engaging user interfaces.


• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional web applications.


• Write clean, efficient code with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability; perform code reviews and enforce best practices.


• Integrate various databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and Oracle for data storage solutions.


• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality; utilize tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, TFS, SVN for version control and continuous integration.


• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies to plan sprints, prioritize tasks, and deliver features on schedule.


• Document system architecture using UML diagrams; design database schemas and optimize queries for performance.


• Stay current with emerging technologies such as AWS, Azure cloud services, microservices architecture, SOAP/REST web services, and containerization.

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role with extensive knowledge of.NET technologies including ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.


• Strong background in front\-end development using Angular or React frameworks along with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.


• Hands\-on experience working with relational databases like SQL Server or MySQL as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.


• Demonstrated proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third\-party web services using SOAP or other protocols.


• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications; experience with microservices architecture is preferred.


• Solid understanding of Object\-Oriented Programming (OOP), UML design principles, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and Agile methodologies like Scrum.


• Knowledge of version control systems including Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.


• Ability to write automated tests for application components; experience with unit testing frameworks is a plus.


• Excellent problem\-solving skills combined with strong debugging capabilities across multiple environments including Linux and Windows servers.

Pay: £43,372\.97\-£103,106\.64 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edinburgh
