Job Details
Multiple exciting opportunities have arisen for Senior Social Care Workers to be based within our care homes operated by OPS Residential \& Day Services. This role involves undertaking a range of management and care tasks whilst demonstrating leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role. Providing “on the job” coaching as necessary, overseeing and monitoring working practices as well as working alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge is also essential.
Successful candidates will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the individual care plans, whilst using key concepts within the National Care Standards and establishing and maintaining sound administrative systems, including; service user records, medication management and stock control. The role will also involve, rota management and attendance management whilst assessing potential risks and operating within the framework of service policies and procedures e.g. Health and Safety Regulations, Data Protection Legislation and Confidentiality Policy.
This role involves undertaking a range of management and care tasks whilst demonstrating leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role.
You will also promote independence and social inclusion while maintaining high care standards by building strong partnerships with health, statutory, and voluntary agencies, and mapping out available community resources.

The Person
Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards. Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
Practice Qualification \- SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 or equivalent. \-Supervisory qualification \- 15 credits at SCQF level 7 containing supervision /management theory and practice specifically for a supervisor of a care home. Full qualification \- SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 9\.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted subject to the condition that you achieve the required qualification within the timeframe defined by SSSC.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
