Accountabilities

You will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end R/Shiny solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability across client applications. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand complex requirements and translate them into effective technical implementations while maintaining high coding standards and architectural quality.

  • Design and build advanced web applications using R/Shiny and JavaScript, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.

  • Select appropriate technologies and approaches to solve complex data and visualization problems.

  • Develop, test, and optimize code while ensuring reliability, scalability, and adherence to best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and data specialists to define solutions and deliver features on time.

  • Troubleshoot Shiny reactivity issues and improve application performance and user experience.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering practices.

  • Participate in Agile delivery processes and ensure clear communication across distributed teams.

Requirements
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in R/Shiny development, combined with solid software engineering practices and the ability to work effectively in client-facing and collaborative environments. You are comfortable solving complex data challenges and building scalable, production-grade applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in R, including deep understanding of Shiny internals, reactivity, and performance optimization.

  • Proven experience building web applications using R/Shiny and JavaScript.

  • Strong skills in data processing, analysis, and visualization for large or complex datasets.

  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with databases in production environments.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in distributed teams.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
