Senior Project Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage complex engineering projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering, project management, and mechanical design, with the ability to oversee multiple projects from inception to completion. Duties

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, deadlines, and budget constraints.


• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions.


• Develop detailed system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including schematics and system layouts.


• Utilise programming languages such as Python, C\+\+, and MATLAB for system automation and data analysis tasks.


• Create comprehensive project documentation, including system schematics, technical reports, and design specifications.


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams including construction, laboratory personnel, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of systems.


• Apply GD\&T principles to ensure precision in mechanical components and assemblies.


• Perform systems engineering activities such as risk assessments, validation testing, and quality assurance.


• Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications effectively using recognised project management methodologies.


• Provide technical guidance on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), system design optimisation, and mechanical knowledge application.

• Proven experience in project management within an engineering environment.


• Strong expertise in root cause analysis and problem\-solving techniques.


• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and general schematics development.


• Hands\-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.


• Programming skills in Python, C\+\+, MATLAB for data analysis and system control applications.


• In\-depth understanding of systems engineering principles and system design processes.


• Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in construction or manufacturing environments.


• Data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for process improvement.


• Familiarity with GD\&T standards for precision manufacturing.


• Laboratory experience is desirable for testing and validation activities.
