Senior HR Consultant (contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Role Overview
This HR Consultant role is a mid\-to\-senior level position focused on employee relations and manager advisory support within a complex, fast\-paced environment. The role involves coaching managers on challenging people situations such as performance issues, wellbeing concerns, and organisational changes, while also leading or supporting the resolution of sensitive workplace matters in partnership with HR and Legal teams. The consultant will play a key role in identifying trends in employee relations, mitigating risks, and contributing to the design and delivery of HR programmes that strengthen leadership capability and workplace culture. Strong expertise in employee relations and knowledge of Ireland employment law are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and advise managers on:
+ Employee wellbeing
+ Complex people decisions (e.g. restructuring, conduct issues)
- Lead or support resolution of:
+ Workplace investigations
+ Policy or culture\-related concerns
- Partner with HR and Legal teams to:
+ Manage risk and compliance
+ Support threat management processes
- Identify and analyse trends in employee relations issues:
+ Recommend proactive solutions
- Provide expert consulting on HR programmes:
- Collaborate with HR peers to:
+ Improve leadership effectiveness and workplace culture
- Independently manage complex and confidential cases end\-to\-end
- Strong Employee Relations (ER) expertise
- Solid knowledge of Ireland employment law
- Experience coaching and advising managers directly
- Ability to manage complex and high\-risk situations independently
- Strong stakeholder management
- Experience working in a consultative HR role
- Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making skills
- High level of confidentiality and judgement
- Bachelor’s degree \+ 5\+ years HR/business process experience
- OR Master’s degree \+ 3\+ years relevant experience
- OR equivalent practical experience
- Location: Hybrid (2\-3 days in office, Dublin, DUB05\)
- Duration: 12 months
- Shift Timings: Monday – Friday (Business Hours)
- Pay Range: €23 \- €25 /hr (PAYE)
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
