Senior Electrical Designer
Established in 2018, Ashby Electrical is a growing, multi\-disciplinary contractor delivering projects from design through to install, test and commissioning — across Domestic \& New Build, Commercial, Rail, Eco/Solar and Civils. We’re trusted by clients and hold Constructionline Gold, NICEIC, SSIP, RISQS, ISO 9001/14001/45001, F\-Gas, Gas Safe, MCS and TrustMark.
We’re expanding our design team and looking for a Senior Electrical Designer to own electrical design packages end to end — from concept through to issued\-for\-construction.
What you’ll do
- Lead electrical design from concept through to issued\-for\-construction
- Produce calculations, schematics and specifications to current standards (BS 7671 and relevant sector standards)
- Work across our divisions, including rail infrastructure and commercial fit\-out
- Coordinate with project engineers, project managers and clients to turn brief into buildable design
- Bring rigour and quality to the design narrative that wins and delivers work
- Solid electrical design experience in a contracting or consultancy environment
- Confident with electrical design software (Amtech / Trimble or similar) and AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of electrical compliance and standards
- Someone who can own a package, not just contribute to one
