Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a solid background in early childhood education. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while fostering effective communication with parents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Organise staff training sessions to enhance skills in childcare and early childhood education.
- Oversee the nursery's budget, resources, and facilities to ensure they meet the needs of children and staff.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies for improvement as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for children by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in management within a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Experience working directly with children, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and behaviours.
- A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with parents, staff, and external agencies.
