<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></p>
<p>FUGA’s Data Platform team is looking for a passionate, dedicated and motivated individual to work in our Amsterdam headquarters. In this role, you’ll work with large-scale music streaming analytics data and contribute to value-added projects that directly support the business.</p>
<p>The Data Platform team plays a pivotal role in FUGA’s data domain, managing and maintaining the DWH, building and maintaining critical data pipelines, and enabling all departments to make reliable, data-driven decisions.</p>

<p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build, maintain, and own data pipelines with Python, GCP, BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, and Spark</li>
<li>Design and improve scalable data models for analytics and reporting</li>
<li>Ensure data quality through cleaning, validation, and transformation</li>
<li>Monitor and improve pipelines for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency</li>
<li>Develop components to interact with APIs, databases, and cloud services</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business goals</li>
<li>Write clean, testable code integrated with CI/CD pipelines</li>
<li>Take ownership of critical data workflows and platform improvements</li>
<li>Contribute to knowledge-sharing and best practices</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Solid experience as a Senior Data Engineer working in GCP or AWS</li>
<li>Strong experience building and maintaining production data pipelines</li>
<li>Comfortable with SQL for large-scale data processing</li>
<li>Confident with Python for ETL and data workflows</li>
<li>Solid understanding of data modelling for analytics use cases</li>
<li>Experience with Airflow and containerisation using Docker</li>
<li>Experience with Spark (PySpark) for large-scale data processing</li>
<li>You take ownership of your work and care about quality, reliability, and performance</li>
<li>You write clean, maintainable code and pay attention to detail</li>
<li>You collaborate effectively and contribute to a strong engineering culture</li>
<li>You are proactive, curious, and continuously improving</li>

</ul>
<p><strong>WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Degree in Computer Science, Data/Software Engineering, or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Strong SQL skills, ideally with BigQuery or similar data warehouses</li>
<li>Python for data processing and ETL</li>
<li>Understanding of data warehousing concepts and structured/unstructured data</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>NICE TO HAVES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience or interest in the music or entertainment industry</li>
<li>Familiarity with Linux environments</li>
<li>Experience with GCP tools beyond BigQuery (e.g. Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataform)</li>
<li>Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration</li>
