DevOps Engineer

<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3>
<p>We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer.</p>
<p>Over the years, we’ve built a substantial hybrid platform across GCP and our co-located datacenter supporting a large, evolving application landscape. While the foundation is solid, the growth has been organic, and we now face the challenge of consolidating, refining, and extending what we’ve built while maintaining the platform.</p>
<p>Your role will focus on reorganizing and improving the platform: making it more stable, cost-effective, secure, and easier for engineers to build on. You’ll work on infrastructure architecture, access controls, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and platform tooling.</p>
<p>We’re looking for someone who’s curious, pragmatic, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. Someone who can look at a convoluted setup and say, “Alright, let’s make sense of this” and then steadily move it forward.</p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Build and manage infrastructure across GCP and on-premise environments,<strong> </strong>where hands-on experience in data center setups is preferred.</li>
<li>Own and enhance our Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Helm, Artifact registries)</li>
<li>Support cost optimization efforts and help restructure cloud infrastructure for better scalability and efficiency</li>
<li>Maintain and improve platform security (IAM, network), backups, disaster recovery and compliance-readiness</li>
<li>Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack and Nagios where experience with the Elastic stack is critical.</li>
<li>Collaborate with development and data teams to help them better utilize the platform (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, GCP)</li>
<li>Contribute to a culture of ownership, reliability and an overall engineering mindset</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Tech Stack</strong></h3>
<p>You don’t need to know everything listed, but solid experience with a fair share of this stack is expected:</p>
<ul>
<li>Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</li>
<li>Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm</li>
<li>Infra as Code / configuration management: Terraform, Ansible</li>
<li>CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GCR / Nexus / Ruby-in-a-box, templated pipelines</li>
<li>Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, Nagios</li>
<li>Data Storage: MariaDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Ceph</li>
</ul>
<p>Other tools: Airflow, HAProxy, Nginx, Linux</p>
