Senior Contracts Manager
Job Summary
Nationwide Fencing Services is a leading provider of commercial and infrastructure fencing solutions across the UK. We deliver high\-quality fencing, security, and associated civil engineering projects for a diverse range of clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects and support our operational teams nationwide.
The Role
As Senior Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of contracts.
This is a senior leadership position requiring strong commercial awareness, operational expertise, and proven experience managing contracts within the fencing, civil engineering, or groundworks sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously across the UK.
- Ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
- Lead and support Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and operational teams.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, programmes, and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry standards.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and progress reviews as required.
- Support tendering, procurement, and project planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all contracts.
RequirementsEssential
- Proven experience in a Senior Contracts Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong background in one or more of the following sectors:
- Fencing
- Civil Engineering
- Groundworks
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage client expectations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide.
Desirable
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications.
- SMSTS certification.
- CSCS card.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
- Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, highways, rail, or security fencing projects.
